Amadis completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta and earned her Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia.
Amadis has completed extensive training in Clinical Pilates through Calibrate Pilates and enjoys helping people build a strong foundation of movement mechanics. She also worked for several years as a certified snowboard instructor, developing strong experience in sport-specific injury management and return-to-sport rehabilitation. In addition, Amadis holds a Certified Personal Trainer credential through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and has experience training clients at the UBC gym.
Drawing on both her academic background and hands-on experience, Amadis takes a practical and collaborative approach to care—tailoring each treatment plan to help clients move with more confidence, strength, and purpose. Her clinical interests include working with runners, skiers, and snowboarders, with a focus on performance, injury prevention, and return-to-sport rehabilitation. Through The Running Clinic she is certified to provide running assessments and support return-to-running programming. Amadis also has a special interest in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, supporting patients in managing jaw pain and improving functional movement. She strongly believes in empowering patients through education, helping them better understand their bodies and build the tools to take care of themselves long term.
Whether you are training for your next Ironman or learning to comfortably go up and down the stairs again, Amadis enjoys helping people build confidence in their movement and celebrate progress along the way.
Outside the clinic, Amadis enjoys snowboarding, biking, hiking, volleyball, running, and ultimate frisbee. A firm believer in staying active, she spends much of her free time lifting weights and exploring movement in all its forms.
Amadis is fluent in both English and Cantonese.
